Momentum Health walked away with not one, but two prestigious honours at the 2025 BHF Titanium Awards, held during this year’s BHF Annual Conference at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. 

We were proudly named Best Innovator in Healthcare, a testament to our commitment to pushing boundaries and finding smarter ways to deliver more health for more people for less. Our submission was centred on our incentivised wellness solution, Momentum Multiply, that proactively manages the demand for healthcare services by incentivising healthier lifestyles and health ownership. This contributes to into lower claims and improved health metrics. Momentum Multiply is putting the power back in the hands of our members – helping them understand their risks, take action, and get rewarded with real money. Multiply promotes sustained behaviour change, reducing the reliance on medical care and ensuring sustainable healthcare funding models that benefit members and our society at large. Independent adjudicators assessed our submission and the fundamental principles on which our incentivised wellness solution was built and we are very proud of this recognition that serves as a further testament to the value that Multiply brings to its members and schemes.

We also clinched the award for Best Large Exhibition Stand, thanks to a dynamic and engaging setup that included cutting-edge virtual reality immersion, allowing visitors to step into our world of impact.

The BHF Conference is the continent’s premier gathering of healthcare funders, providers, and policymakers; a critical platform for shaping the future of healthcare in Africa. Each year, we proudly represent Momentum Health at this event to share our progress, connect with industry leaders, and contribute to the collective conversation about improving access, equity, and quality in healthcare.

This year’s theme, Collaborating for value: Partnerships transforming the future of healthcare – Uniting Parallels, set the stage for game-changing partnerships that are reshaping healthcare and tackling the industry’s toughest challenges. With captivating case studies showcasing international, regional, and local collaborations, attendees explored how partnerships are disrupting the status quo and expanding access for all health citizens.

Momentum Health was well represented in the programme, with our Public Sector CEO, Ali Hamdulay, and Head of Providers: Health Product Development, Dr Nontuthuzelo Thomas, sharing insights into how we’re driving change in the health ecosystem.
